Charged Hungry

The truck is infrastructure. The cook is the story.

Charged & Hungry is a cooking channel that happens to run off a battery. Five series a week, every cook measured, every piece of gear bought with our own money and tested until it either earns its place in the kit or gets cut.

HOW WE TEST GEAR

01 We say how it arrived

Every gear page states whether we bought it, were sent it, or were loaned it. That is a field on the page, not a promise in a policy — you can apply your own standard to it.

02 We use it first

Gear is used on camera for weeks before it gets a verdict. Nothing is reviewed on an unboxing.

03 The verdict is never for sale

We will take something a brand sends. We will not take payment for what we say about it. If a company is worried about an honest answer, they should not send it.

04 Cut means cut

Things that fail get a CUT verdict and stay on the site with the reason — including things we were sent. A gear list with no failures is a catalogue.

THE SERIES

Five a week, each with one job. Same slate every time, so you know what is coming.
MON Basecamp Breakfast First cook of the day, off the overnight charge.
TUE Taco Tuesday The same format every week. The griddle earns its space.
WED Charged Ramen One constraint, one cook. Usually the kettle.
FRI Field Gear Friday Does it make the cut? Bought with our own money.
WEEKEND Weekend Special A place, a drive and a cook worth the distance.
